Lost creativity

It was a lousy Sunday morning and I had no intentions of stepping out in the scorching summer heat for my share of excitement , when I decided to go through one of my friends blog whom I had pestered in every manner possible to join in the magical world of blogging.
I say magical world coz it somewhat reminds me of the world of Narnia . For those of you who are not familiar with the world of Narnia ..let me give you a brief introduction to it . The magical world of Narnia was created by C.S Lewis. This enchanted world is filled of various beats, animals that talk , trees that move, and many more of such mystical things which we would not think of ever encountering in our world.

Ah now that I have given you an introduction to the world of Narnia and hopefully you have established the connection I tried to make with the blogging world..lets' get back to the topic.

So as I was saying ..that I decided to go thorough one of my friends' blog entry to kill the 'end of weekends blues' that I happened to read one of his entries where he says that in today's' world creativity has taken a back seat and writers, poets, playwrights or any other soul who has the minimal capability of expressing themselves within the virtual boundaries of words have been famished of new and innovative ideas.

Hmm now now that is a hard statement to make and so I decide to ponder on the substantially of this statement. Did my friend just make a random statement to get started on the blogging spree?? or did he actually mean what he had put down???

Have we actually fallen short of new ideas ??? and has creativity really gone stale in the world of technology today ??? My mind kept buzzing with these questions and I paced around the house like a restless spirit trying to find an answer to these questions that had now begun to haunt me.

I then sat down after a lot of impatient walking and thought that if we had fallen short of ideas or creativity the world have instantly been ripped off its beauty. I do agree with my friend that most of the things that are written or spoken about have already been discussed at length in the past ...but the creativity of one's thought lies in bringing out something new from the past . Presenting an aspect of a topic that has been dealt with a million of times with a new thought put in it is the magic of creativity and that, thankfully I don't think we have as of now lost it.

I mean we wouldn't have had pieces like Harry Potter, Kite Runner , and many more had there been a dearth of ideas. Though we seem to be nearing the future that my friend predicts in his blog ....as of now i guess it's a bit to early to worry about it .. coz we still have a flood of ideas...probably what we lack right now is the proper time to channelize them before they are washed away.

u see. iam not bold enough to say that creativity is dead however the fact is most of the people trying to be creative are not creating any thing at all...u know what i mean...

Probably this is the first comment in which i would be showing subtle signs of discord with a tinge of 'revolt'... The whole idea is about PROVING the fact that creativity is in no way limited to writing poetry, proses, or plays but is rather: "The quality or ability to create or invent something."

The domain of creativity is diverse... We are not writing on stones, not living in woods either, nor are we painting in caves coz somebody visualized something better...

there is no dearth of talent whatsoever in any field just that we have developed different modes of expression... Not everybody has the patience/time to read novels... does that mean that person has no taste for creativity???

i don't know why but this post reminds me of something like: "if we didn't have electricity, we would have been watching television in candle light"
