The first sunshine after the rain .................

It seemed to be just another ordinary day for Shantilata. Despite the fact that she had lot many hurdles in the past few months , but the regular occurrences of these events somehow made her accustomed to it.
Emotions of pain or feelings of suffering no longer had an effect on her. For that matter neither did moments of joy y and happiness hold any significance. No I don't mean to say that she was born immune and indifferent to these feelings or emotions, but somehow life had played it hard on her and she had submitted herself to it in the most complacent manner anyone could ever have.
I remember meeting her for a cup of coffee a week after her son went missing at the war front. The news of having lost her only son and family had wiped all the traces of happiness from her life.
I don't really recall seeing her cry on the loss of her son...really don't know whether it was a case of extreme shock for her or whether deep down in her heart was buried still a strong rooted ray of hope.
She was just sitting outside gazing at the rays of sunlight falling on the water puddles that were created for the past few days of heavy rain shower, when she was startled by the sound of the door bell.
It was not that she heard her door bell ring quite frequently . In fact she had quite forgotten the sound of it. She ignored the sound of it and continued gazing at the sunlight. She thought that she was hearing things due to old age, when the door bell rang again. This time it was a long persistent ring , and there was no doubt that there was someone at the door .
She slowly got up with the support of the wall and limped towards the door.
She took almost 10 minutes to reach the door on her feeble legs . The door bell rang again for the third time , by the time she reached the door .
She reached out for the latch with trembling fingers and slide it open gently .
As soon as she looked out she burst into a welma tears and clung to the person standing on the door. For it was no one else but her long lost son returned from the war front......
The sun finally shone bright in Shantilatas' life and she welcomed it even more after the gloomy days of non-stop rains

Lost creativity

It was a lousy Sunday morning and I had no intentions of stepping out in the scorching summer heat for my share of excitement , when I decided to go through one of my friends blog whom I had pestered in every manner possible to join in the magical world of blogging.
I say magical world coz it somewhat reminds me of the world of Narnia . For those of you who are not familiar with the world of Narnia ..let me give you a brief introduction to it . The magical world of Narnia was created by C.S Lewis. This enchanted world is filled of various beats, animals that talk , trees that move, and many more of such mystical things which we would not think of ever encountering in our world.

Ah now that I have given you an introduction to the world of Narnia and hopefully you have established the connection I tried to make with the blogging world..lets' get back to the topic.

So as I was saying ..that I decided to go thorough one of my friends' blog entry to kill the 'end of weekends blues' that I happened to read one of his entries where he says that in today's' world creativity has taken a back seat and writers, poets, playwrights or any other soul who has the minimal capability of expressing themselves within the virtual boundaries of words have been famished of new and innovative ideas.

Hmm now now that is a hard statement to make and so I decide to ponder on the substantially of this statement. Did my friend just make a random statement to get started on the blogging spree?? or did he actually mean what he had put down???

Have we actually fallen short of new ideas ??? and has creativity really gone stale in the world of technology today ??? My mind kept buzzing with these questions and I paced around the house like a restless spirit trying to find an answer to these questions that had now begun to haunt me.

I then sat down after a lot of impatient walking and thought that if we had fallen short of ideas or creativity the world have instantly been ripped off its beauty. I do agree with my friend that most of the things that are written or spoken about have already been discussed at length in the past ...but the creativity of one's thought lies in bringing out something new from the past . Presenting an aspect of a topic that has been dealt with a million of times with a new thought put in it is the magic of creativity and that, thankfully I don't think we have as of now lost it.

I mean we wouldn't have had pieces like Harry Potter, Kite Runner , and many more had there been a dearth of ideas. Though we seem to be nearing the future that my friend predicts in his blog ....as of now i guess it's a bit to early to worry about it .. coz we still have a flood of ideas...probably what we lack right now is the proper time to channelize them before they are washed away.

The song of life

Have you ever wondered what life would be without a bit of music or what is it to live life without the rhythm and beat in it???
If not then try shutting your eyes for a minute and try to remember the sound of the first raindrop against the window-panes.
the sound of lil boys running around the fields on a warm summer afternoon...
the sound of the soft wind in your ears or the sound of silence on a cold winter night.
Imagine if one had to live in a world deprived of these sounds...........

We all have at some point or the other in our life complained and cried and cursed life for things it has offered us. Life has different tunes for each and everyone of us... it however gives us the choice of writing our own lyrics. It also gives us a choice to choose our own scale for our song from a wide range like chromatic, pentatonic, super tonic, dominant,or any scale we may savour.

Hm so life let's us write in our own lyrics and sing it at a scale we want...now that doesn't sound bad at all....so wondering where and what is the catch to it????
I would be lying if I said there ain't no catch to it as most of the things these days do come with a little star attached * conditions apply .... and so does life .
and so when life sees you master your scale and lyrics and perform your best it puts you on a small acid test by either raising your scales to 'Sopranos' or dipping it to the 'Altos', or sometimes even by writing in a new lyric for you.
Now now now ...if you say that why does life have to do this to you ....you must try and understand that it only does it as an endeavour to help you out. .....
Help me ?? help me how ???? Do I have someone ask that question raised already???
You see life puts you through all this to help you keep up the jazz and excitement in and making you want to live it every moment more than ever. It also does so to help you evolve as a better and stronger person........ and of course the sins that we sometimes commit in our course of life can only be rinsed with the songs of life..

After all it isn't life if it is stagnant. As the moment life becomes stagnant it is no longer called life but 'Death'

So pick out your song and sing along to life's tune !
