She stood at the end of the alley. Her lips dressed in a shade of lacquered matte red. She wore a short black dress. It fit her dainty frame too well. A bit too well. His gaze wandered restlessly and then rested upon her stature. He gawked at her for what seemed longer than a moment or two.
She felt an awkward feeling crawl through her.A chill ran through her spine. She briskly wiped the sweat beads off her fore-head. They didn't go well with her make-up.Her breathed heavily as if to weigh down the unknown burden of her chest. She turned around and looked at him from the corner of her eyes. Their lamps met , she beckoned him and then turned away.
After waiting for a couple of of minutes she started walking into the darkness. She could hear a pair of footsteps follow her. They moved swiftly. She could feel the warmth around her. The alley turned ahead of her, she paced towards it. She knew this was her chance, her only chance. Her eyes looked up towards the building on the right. A dark shadow gazed down at her.
She could still hear the footsteps behind. She smiled. The trap was set. She took the turn and scrammed into the darkness. The footsteps that followed slowed down a bit. They now approached the turn with caution.A voice told him to stop , but he was too smitten by her beauty to pay any heed to the voice. He took another step towards the alley and then another.
He stepped into the dark lane on the alley. Afore he knew, he heard a piercing sound taking him by surprise. He turned around in bewilderment. He could feel the heat rise up his body. A pain shot up his ribs. He looked down, there was blood on his hands. His blood. His vision grew blur with pain and tears.
He tried to reach out for the wall as he collapsed to the ground, she came out of the darkness. He looked at her pleading for mercy. This time the bullet pierced his heart. He dropped dead.
She stood near him, quivering. A dark shadow of a man clad in a heavy rain-coat stood next to her. She looked at him as he gently took her by her arms and they walked away from the corpse.
